Ravi Bonthu was raised in an agricultural family in Sathupally, Khammam District, Telangana — the son of Narasimha Rao Bonthu and Lakshmi Tulasi, who taught him that nothing arrives without work. That lesson has outlasted every business plan he has written since.
He finished school in Sathupally, moved to Hyderabad for higher education, and earned his Bachelor of Engineering from Guru Nanak Dev College of Engineering in Bidar. His first job was as a mechanical engineer at Polmon Instruments. While there, he filed for an H-1B visa — and got it.
America started as a series of programming desks: Java development at Qwest in Denver, Future Technologies in New Jersey, and IHP Technologies in Dallas. He learned the market from the inside, saved deliberately, and waited for the right moment to stop working for someone else.
That moment came in 2008. He launched a security electronics company at the bottom of a recession — the year most people stopped starting things. It worked. From that base he expanded into commercial real estate, ground-up construction, convenience stores, liquor retail, and branded fuel stations, consolidating all of it under the RIDE USA banner.
Outside the businesses, he funds regional food banks, backs neighborhood outreach programs, and personally mentors international students finding their footing in America. He has built durable partnerships across the Sikh, Patel, and Ismaili business communities on a simple premise: opportunity grows when it’s shared. He has supported President Donald Trump’s campaign since 2019 and identifies with the principles of the “Make America Great Again” platform.
He has built strong relationships across the Sikh, Patel, and Ismaili communities, believing in unity, cooperation, and opportunity for everyone.
"America is too great for small dreams."
America is too great for small dreams.
America is too great for small dreams.
